Difference Between XML skin and Classic skin

While classic skins for blogspot may look nicer and more eye-catching,it is not as customizable as XML skin. You need to have at least a little knowledge about HTML codes to customize your classic skin, like where to put your Cbox,Imeem, polls, pictures and other things on your sidebar.
But,on XML skins, you can add them with a click on Layouts . With proper design and graphics, an XML skin will be misleading you thinking its an Classic Skin. With now the new generators and such, creating a beautiful XML skin would not be hard if put enough hardwork into it. Now there are Spiffy Corners,Stripes Generators,Tutorials and also Web2.0 Banner Generator.
I'll leave it for all of you to decide which skin is better, but i personally think that the more customizable XML skin is better.

How to use an XML layout

The first layout i posted (B.L.A.C.K) is an XML layout.Which means you can edit it directly in your control panel. For example like this:
You can edit it directly inside there.A classic blogger layout have to be edited manual inside HTML Editor.Which is much more time consuming and harder.XML layout is created by using an existing layout for example Minima,Minima Dark and others and then editing them.
I'm gonna show you how to use an XML layout. After downloading the template xml file,
Go to the control panel, then click on Layout and then Edit HTML.Then click browse(highlighted blue) and find the xml file after that, click Upload. If you do not have that option,it means that you are either using other layouts . Change back to a default template and the option will be available. After uploading the file, then you're done!

Putting music into your blog

Have you ever been to blogs that play music while you're reading the blog?
Did you want to put music into your blog?
Well..Follow this guide and you will have your readers enjoy your favourite music in your blog!

Step One

Firstly, log on to Imeem and register if you don't have an account.Login if you have.

Click for a bigger image. Then search for the song you want.

Step Two
In my case,i'm searching for Touch my body - Mariah Carey.
Notice the one highlighted in red.Remember to put the search type as Music or you'll get lots of videos and pictures. Then, click the name of the song you want (highlighted in blue) or any other one.

Step Three

Now,you will be in a page similar to this:

The one highlighted in green, will show the player when loaded.Dont worry if you only hear
very little of the song,it is only the preview. Then, copy the highlighted code in blue.If you want your player to auto play when the blog is loaded, tick the red highlighted Auto-play.
After copying the code, move on to your Blog control panel,go to Layout>Page Elements.

Step Four
Now,click where you want to put your player by clicking "Add a page element" .
image: Click on the green highlighted "Add a page element" and then click on HTML/Javascript

Finally, paste the code you've copied into the fields.
Then click on Save,to save it(obviously).Go to your blog now and see if you can hear your song.

In the next tutorial,i'll be teaching how to add a playlist instead of a song into your blog or i'll post a template. And if you want to enlarge those images, click on them.
